As of today, no more submissions will be accepted. However, what we have shared over these five years will be allowed to remain, as long as Blogger leaves it in place.  Thanks to the many wordsmiths who shared their writing with the world through these weekly prompts.

Friday the 13th

My sister Ann had a stroke on Friday, the 13th.  (Yes, I wrote it that way on purpose.)  She had a blood clot on the right side of her brain, which her doctor said could be treated easily with medicine.  She was fortunate, but unfortunately my mind wasn't on this blog and I didn't post anything.  Let's make this week a YES or NO vote about whether to keep up a blog that no one seems to need.  If you write something about a Friday — or about the number 13—  or about Friday the 13th, I'll link you here.  Otherwise, just tell me YES or NO.  Shall I keep posting prompts on this blog?

Heat wave

With the heat wave across the United States and Europe, it seems very appropriate to write about weather and temperatures.  I found this graphic with an article about the urban heat island of Atlanta.

"On these sweltering hot days of summer in Atlanta the surfaces of roofs and pavement can be as much as fifty to ninety degrees warmer than the air. You can feel the difference when you are out walking in it."
