Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is "The Listeners", by Walter de la Mare. I wish I could write like that. But I'll give it my best shot and get back to you later today.

I think this is the first time I've ever posted a "submission" from a "dead poet" ... much less as the first of our week's offerings. Even though I was an English major in college, I was not familiar with "The Listeners" by Walter de la Mare. And you're right, Rich, that it definitely fits in with this prompt.

Sailing Sunsets
Here's one- a little bit of a stretch, perhaps. But I've been wondering where the Poet had gotten to. It's been a while since I've written faithfully.
